Guy Sara
Guy’s working life started out as an accountant in London in the mid-1990s. By chance, he landed an accounting contract with Ede & Ravenscroft in Chancery Lane. (Ede & Ravenscroft are official tailors to His Majesty King Charles III and official tailors to the Commonwealth legal profession. USA President Ronald Reagan was a frequent customer). It was here on Chancery Lane that Guy’s interest in a law career began.
As Guy matured his focus has shifted to business law. He has consulted to legal offices in Singapore and Dubai. He consulted on some matters in the Dubai International Arbitration Centre. Some of the more interesting Singapore matters were looking at arresting a ship for unpaid repairs, and leasing strands in a undersea cable and diodes in a satellite. Think about it, satellites are high risk investments – they are jettisoned into space forever!!
Guy’s PhD studies are investigating desistance and recidivism aspects of the Singapore Justice System. He anticipates liaising with the Singapore University of Social Sciences.
Although Guy is a broadly experienced lawyer, he is equally at home in your local Magistrates Court and the Family Court or drafting a will. He advises against litigation, prefers mediation, but can handle himself in litigation if necessary.
